The Perpetual Silver Chanter Trophy was kindly donated in memory of Lachlan McCabe, winner of the R.U. Brown Piobaireachd Society Gold medal contest on 3 occasions ('83, '84 & '85) and sadly passed prematurely after a lengthy battle against cancer.
The Silver Chanter competition consists of two grades being "restricted" (those players of silver medal standard and below) and "unrestricted" (silver and gold medal standards).
This years event will be held on Saturday the 3rd November 2012 at the Walkerville Uniting Church, 17 Smith Street, Walkerville SA commencing at 7.00pm.
Tune Requirements: Restricted - One full Piobaireachd including Crunluath. Unrestricted - submit 2 full Piobaireachd including Crunluath (one to be played).
